Robot-based solutions are routinely part of our comparative analyses in plant planning. In many cases, they are the safest and often most economical solution due to their high degree of flexibility.
When modernizing existing plants and planning plants for new products for which there is no comprehensive experience, robot-based solutions are often ideal because position deviations of existing machines and process adjustments do not require major modifications, but in many cases only small changes to programming.
With new products and processes, the time and costs for the evaluation of production and handling processes can be drastically reduced by agile development based on robot-based systems. Even if plants are supposed to be suitable to produce different product variants without time-consuming retooling, the use of robots – partly in conjunction with Machine Vision – is often the ideal solution.
